Winning the Mayor’s Choice cookie contest for youth, grades 3-5 at the Lee Regional Fair were Harrison Riddle, first place; Melanie Larrson, second place and Mary Katherine Wearski, third place. For grades 6-8
winners were Emily Dennis, first place; Morgan Cox, second place; and Duncan Riddle, third place. For grades 9-12 Lara Vest won first place.
Each participant received a certificate of recognition, a ribbon and premium monies from the Sanford Lions Club. This year’s cookie, chocolate chip, was the favorite cookie of Broadway Mayor Don Andrews.
Judging with Mayor Andrews was Chairman of the Lee County Board of Commissioners, Richard Hayes and Sanford Mayor Cornelia Olive.
